About Rob

I have the privilege of serving as pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  Crossroads is an amazing congregation that was founded in December 2011.  The only thing better is getting to be husband to Michelle and dad to three amazing kids. You can find out more about Crossroads by visiting here.

If you care about this sort of thing, I am a graduate of the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama, with a B.A. in Religion, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky with a M. Div. in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth.  I am currently finishing up my D. Min. at Southern Seminary in Missions and Evangelism.

In my spare time, I like to run distance races, read, chase my kids all over the place at their various activities, and rabidly follow everything concerning Alabama Crimson Tide football.

Great article!! You got it exactly right! Family Values and Honesty is what America needs. Seems today no ones word means anything. and any way you can cheat, or mislead someone to make a buck makes it ok. I Guess people think if the Government can do it then is ok. I look forward to reading more of your articles. Keith, Midlothian,Va

Thanks for the blog, I enjoyed reading about Duck Dynasty. Im a SBTS grad as well (MDiv 96), and would be getting ready to start on my Dmin now except my wife will be giving birth to our third child within the next few weeks. Im a distance runner (halfmarathons not full yet), an avid reader, and a die hard Crimson Tide fan as well. Keep up the good work and ROLLTIDE.

Are you related to Ken Sumrall(a pastor in Pensacola FL)? I went to elementary school with one of his kids. (Marlene, I think)

Not to my knowledge, though I did grow up in Mobile, Alabama, just down I-10 from Pensacola. I tease people by telling them I come from a long line of pagans, even though that infuriates my Mamaw.

Hi I am in New Mexico. Don’t know how I found it but I enjoyed your article on Duck Dynasty. Looks like a fun church too.

Br. Rob, I read your excellent blog on Duck Dynasty (love me some Duck!), and then, following up to see where you were from, was pleasantly surprised to see you are minutes from my son, who is pastor at New Castle First Baptist. I’ve been through E-Town enroute to see Daniel several times.

Enjoyed your article about the genuine article. Keep up the good work.

Enjoyed your article about Duck Dynasty! I’m a teacher; my husband, a Baptist pastor in Louisiana (Go tigers). A teacher told me, “You’d love Duck Dynasty” Why me? Because I try to be pro-active about my faith….
